The mass flow controller (MFC)/mass flow meter (MFM) Type 8746 for gases is suitable for a wide range of applications, e.g. metal and glass manufacturing or processing, fermentation processes, test benches or filling systems and packaging machines. Type 8746 is available in two variants: a variant with several analogue or digital communication interfaces and a variant with a pure CANopen-based interface. The latter is suitable for integration into existing CANopen networks or - in combination with a Bürkert fieldbus gateway - for integration in all common industry standards for Industrial Ethernet or fieldbus. This variant is tailor-made for applications with many control loops. Up to 32 MFCs / MFMs can be connected to one fieldbus gateway. The gateway transmits the internal CANopen-based communication to Industrial Ethernet and fieldbus standards. The mass flow controller / mass flow meter can always be switched between büS and CANopen communication. Type 8746 can be configured as an MFM or an MFC according to demand. Optionally, up to four calibration curves can be stored in the device. The thermal inline sensor is located directly in the main flow and achieves fast response times and a high level of measuring accuracy with long-term stable calibration. As the actuator, a Bürkert direct-acting, electromagnetic proportional valve or motor valve guarantees high response sensitivity. The integrated PI controller ensures excellent control characteristics of the MFC. Type 8746 is characterised by a low pressure drop, even at high flow rates, and is especially designed for use in harsh environments thanks to its high IP degree of protection and explosion protection.

In line with Bürkert’s philosophy for modular valves and sensors the construction of Type 2300 angle-seat valve fulfils tough criteria for process environments. Unrivalled cycle life and sealing integrity is guaranteed by the proven self adjusting packing gland. The parabolic trim results in a flow characteristic approximately 35 % larger than conventional control valves. It is available in either stainless steel on stainless steel or with a durable PTFE seal for tight shut-off. The design enables the easy integration of automation modules whether they are digital electropneumatic positioner or process controller. The compact positioner device Type 8692 is optimised for integrated mounting on the pneumatic actuators in the process valve series Type 23xx/2103 and is specially designed for the requirements of a hygienic process environment. The pilot air duct is integrated into the actuator without external piping. The easy operation and the selection of additional software functions are carried out either on a big graphic display with backlight and keypad or via the COMMUNICATOR.
The positioner registers the valve position without deterioration via a contact-free, analogue position sensor. The integrated diagnostics function are used to monitor control valve operating conditions. Valve diagnostic messages via status signals are issued in accordance with NE107 (NAMUR) and recorded as historical entries.
The housing is easy to clean and features proven IP protection and chemically resistant materials for use in hygienic processing in the food, beverage and phar maceutical industries. Combined with Bürkert ELEMENT actuators, the pneumatic actuating system enables spring chamber aeration that avoids actuator chamber contamination from the environment.

Valve 6011 is a direct-acting plunger valve. The stopper and plunger guide tube are welded together to enhance pressure resistance and leak-tightness. Various seal material combinations are available depending on the applica tion. A Bürkert-specific flange design (SFB) enables space-saving arrange ment of valves on a manifold. Push-in fittings can be selected for flexible hose connection. In combination with a cable plug in accordance with industry standard Form B or DIN EN 175301 - 803 Form C, the valves satisfy protection class IP65.

The 6240 valve is a servo-assisted piston valve. The stopper and plunger guiding tube are welded together to enhance pressure resistance and leak-tightness. Vari ous seal material combinations are available depending on the application. The housing design and surface quality enable maximum flow rates. The coils are moulded with chemically resistant epoxy. An optional sliding ring bearings increases the life cycle with dry gases. To reduce power consumption in operation, coils with Kick and Drop electronics assembly (double coil technology) are available.
